Mediation Services

A Safe and Confidential Way to Resolve Conflict

We provide a flexible, confidential service for managing and resolving disputes, using trained and impartial mediators.

About Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary process based on respect for all participants.
It is not about deciding who is right or wrong or focusing on the past. Instead, the goal is to:

  • Improve future relationships
  • Provide a safe space for discussion
  • Ensure everyone has the chance to be heard
  • Support parties in finding mutually acceptable solutions

Mediation is an empowering process, encouraging people to put forward their own ideas and suggestions.

Mediation can be used for conflict in both communities and workplaces.

Examples include:

  • Disputes with neighbours (noise, antisocial behaviour, boundary issues)
  • Workplace tensions (between colleagues, or staff and managers)

How It Works

01

Individual Meetings

Mediators first speak with each party confidentially to understand their concerns and hopes for the future.
02

Joint Mediation Session

Parties are brought together (in person or virtually) in a safe and structured environment. Each person has the chance to share their perspective and listen to the other.
03

Moving Forward

Mediators guide the process respectfully, supporting the parties to explore practical, future-focused solutions.

Mediation was nothing like I thought it would be. The mediators made it a very comfortable setting during the time we were together. Thank you for making me a stronger person.

The mediators listened, asked good probing questions, and created a safe environment to air my concerns without fear of fallout.
