Mediation
Mediation is a voluntary process that is based on respect for all participants and can be used in many different situations.
Mediation is not about deciding who is right or wrong, nor about what should or should not have happened in the past. The focus is to find a way of improving the future.
Mediation is a way of helping people to discuss their problems, giving everyone an opportunity to talk and be listened to. It gives the parties a chance to explore mutually acceptable solutions. This is achieved through listening, supporting and guiding each party towards resolving their problems.
Mediation is an empowering process that encourages people to put forward their own suggestions and ideas.
Mediation can be used for conflict in your organisation or in your community.
