NFS Mediation is successful in securing Southampton City Council (SCC) Assessment Service Contract for a further 5 years

NFS Mediation have been in partnership with SCC as their Assessment Service providers for over 8 years and have once again secured the contract for a further 5 years following a lengthy tender process. This means for the tenants of Southampton they can look forward to a continuous service from their housing officers with regards to issues with their neighbours.  

Steve Smith, Housing Services Manager at SCC said “We are delighted at SCC that NFS have been awarded the contract for a further 5 years. NFS have worked closely with us recognising that those suffering with a dispute with their neighbour whether it is noise, intimidation, harassment, or other anti-social behaviour it can have a real negative impact on their day to day lives. SCC made a commitment to its tenants many years ago stating that they don’t have to accept this way of living. With NFS Assessment service you can visit your local housing officer, report the issue, this can be passed onto NFS and the situation sorted quickly and is proven that in over 90% of cases it can be brought to a mutually positive conclusion for the tenant.” 

NFS are not part of the council, police or any other agency and gives the tenant the opportunity to speak about their situation. NFS do not judge who is right or wrong, nor are we here to blame anyone. All we ask is to understand what is going on so that all parties can agree a way forward.
